Ms. Rye is a 1998 University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, graduate where she was a member of The Denver Law Review. Having worked for a number of years as a paralegal in complex commercial litigation prior to law school, Ms. Rye began her career as a practicing attorney returning to complex commercial litigation, insurance defense and employment law. She is licensed in both Colorado and Texas. After gaining valuable trial experience and honing her litigation skills, she made the decision that her experience, knowledge and passion would be best utilized helping children and families.
While shifting her practice area, Ms. Rye served as a CASA in Arapahoe County, and performed volunteer work for Metro Volunteer Lawyers, Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center and the Rocky Mountain Immigration Network. All these experiences helped guide her to become a Guardian ad litem and refocus her practice on families and child welfare.
During her practice in the Juvenile Courts in Colorado, Ms. Rye has had the pleasure of practicing in the Family Integrated Treatment Court in Jefferson County, as well as practicing in all areas of juvenile law in many of the Colorado Juvenile Courts throughout the state.
Ms. Rye is a passionate advocate for children and families. With 22 years as a practicing attorney, she brings compassion and competence when helping her clients navigate a complex and challenging system in order to achieve the best outcome possible. She expertly guides her clients through legal issues with honest advice and a tireless effort to help devise the best legal strategy for success.
