Kaitlin Barrett is a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP) who has a limited license to practice law and the ability to advise clients on various issues in their family law matters as authorized by Colorado Supreme Court Rule 207.1. Prior to obtaining her limited license to practice law Kaitlin obtained a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from UCCS in 2017 and her paralegal certificate.
Kaitlin has over 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in family law matters including but not limited to divorces, legal separations, allocation of parental responsibilities (Parenting time/Decision Making), protection orders, name changes, child support and maintenance (both pre decree and post decree), post decree modifications of parenting time, adoptions, and dependency and neglect cases. She previously worked as a court judicial assistant for a District Court Judge in an integrated docket providing insight into how other case types can intertwine and affect one another.
Kaitin’s experience provides a unique insight for parent’s and their specific needs within family law. The LLP licensure was created for parties involved in family Court to have a more cost-effective representation who still possesses the knowledge necessary to properly advise clients.
Kaitlin strives to efficiently and effectively assist clients and help guide and support them through family court cases that can be frustrating and difficult to navigate.
